I notice the website says that PowerPod can be "digitally" zoom all camcorders, but only certain ones with the Canon command set can be "optically" zoomed.

I am not sure how this would translate into image quality loss, do you know?

Our software cannot optically zoom Sony camcorders but it can digitally zoom them. There is noticeable pixellation after 200% digital zoom.
